ACTIVITIES
Gravenhurst is an all-seasons recreation destination

Celebrate Spring…
The unfurling of Muskoka in the springtime is not to be missed and Gravenhurst at this time of year is spectacular. Enjoy our infamous rugged natural beauty where a bevy of outdoor activities beckon. Golfing, hiking, cycling, fishing are some of the activities that top the list. A cozy bonfire on a fresh spring night is another highlight.
Welcome Summer…
Variety, entertainment and relaxation are the key elements to any holiday; a good dose of fun, excitement and peace make it a success. Gravenhurst has perfected its role as one of the vacation capitals of Ontario.
Our vast lakes and waterways draw thousands of vacationers. Beautiful, clean beaches offer relaxation and hours of summer fun. For a romantic day on the water, paddle a canoe to a secluded spot and have a picnic.
Watersports include water-skiing, canoeing, kayaks, fishing and swimming. Enjoy hiking, tennis and volleyball, to name a few.
Savour Fall…
The smell of early wood fires, the rustle of leaves underfoot and a crisp ring in the air… Gravenhurst in autumn is sensational.
We have designed a number of tours leading to some of the most impressive hard and softwood forests where the leaves are at their best. Visit one of the numerous fall fairs, local harvest celebrations or farmers' markets.
A full roster of outdoor activities is available with fall hiking a favourite. Gravenhurst is the avid hunter's playground!
Enjoy Winter…
Muskoka in the wintertime is magical. Fluffy flakes, romantic fires, hot toddies with that someone special.
Gravenhurst is home to the Snowcrest Riders Snowmobile Club and nearly 4,000 kms of Muskoka and Algonquin trails. The Clubs offers 400 kms of ten-foot wide professionally groomed trails.
We are your "snowmobiling-friendly community".
If you want a quieter activity, Gravenhurst is a winter hiking and skiing paradise. Skate on the lakes, find a good toboggan hill, build a snow sculpture or take refuge in a heated ice hut.
Additional benefits? Throw a log on the fire, snuggle with a loved one and watch the snowflakes fall outside.
