It has a Ford Racing small block backed by a C-4 with a gearvendors overdrive, it has a narrowed 9” rear end with a nodular iron center section with 31 spline axles. I was planning on driving the car up from Aurora this year.

Top 10 Peoples' Choice Award Winner - Christie Lawson

1996 Firebird Trans Am

Congrats to Christie and her 1996 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am!

My very first classic muscle car! It was a gift from my husband 🙂 He drove in to Orillia to pick up some supplies for our trailer that is at Layzee Acres and made a wrong turn to find it on a used car lot! It was a one owner car with only 70,000 kms on it! I loved it from day one! I’ve cleaned it top to bottom and detailed everything I could. There has been some little modifications over the past 2 years to give it a little extra pop but it truly has been so much fun enjoying, whether cruising with the kids, going to local cruise nights or going to some of the bigger car shows in the area! My husband has always had a Camaro and I never knew how much pride and joy I could have by actually having my own but since that wrong turn he made and surprising me with my own I’ve enjoyed every single moment with this car and meeting so many amazing people and sharing it with my husband and girls!

1965 Ford Mustang

Congrats to Doug and his 1965 Ford Mustang!

10 years ago, my daughter was shopping for some used furniture at a store in the south end of Barrie. Outside there was a 1965 Mustang parked with a for sale sign on it. She called me to tell me that she found an old car that looked exactly like a car that I owned when I was 18, my first car. So I went and had a look and after some negotiations, I bought the car. It was a bit of a sleeper with white wall tires and hub caps, but the body had just been redone and it was painted a beautiful Ford Midnight blue metallic

Top 10 Peoples' Choice Award Winner - Ken Bowler

1935 Ford Cabriolet

Congrats to Ken and his 1935 Ford Cabriolet!

Rags to Ragtop - This All Steel body original was resurrected from a very rough rusted vehicle with completely new fabricated door skins - quarters - rear deck- trunk was fabricated from a 1951 Vauxhaul roof after removing the rumble seat. This is a Ford in a Ford with New Factory Ford Racing Boss 302 - 345 hp with 5 speed Tremac transmission and a 57 Ford - 9” rear end. New frame - tubular A arms with 4 link rear bar suspension. House of Koloa Kosmos Red exterior with tan leather interior including all power options . Our vehicle won best in class at Mototama 2014 along with other local awards at Rosseau Lakes show. The process of building took over 16 years with lots of post build tweaking - to the point my wife asked not long ago “ Will that car ever be finished”? I suspect when it’s a hobby the answer is “No”!
